Record Numbers Attend AASC’s 20th Anniversary Conference

A record of more than 1,300 service coordinators descended into the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado, August 11-14, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the American Association of Service Coordinators’ (AASC) annual conference. CCH was a proud sponsor of this year’s event and had 25 service coordinators in attendance – one of the largest contingencies at the conference.

“We were prominently recognized throughout the event and our team proudly represented CCH’s mission and passion,” shares Director of Social Services Adam Allred. He personally thanked CCH President and CEO Don Stump for his support and for choosing CCH to sponsor this year’s milestone event.

The National Service Coordinator Conference is widely recognized as an important venue for sharing knowledge, new innovations, best practices and real-life solutions among service professionals. Additionally, it provides a resource for education and networking opportunities as well being an advocate for members at the national level.

CCH was proudly designated as a “legacy member” of AASC. The nonprofit membership organization is comprised of more than 3,000 service coordinators, property managers, housing directors and other affordable housing professionals. Its members assist elderly and disabled residents and families living in affordable housing communities to identify, locate and acquire the services and support necessary for them to become and remain self-sufficient.

A banner on display at the conference reflected CCH’s commitment to social services since our early beginnings in 1961 managing affordable senior housing. “CCH realized linking residents with essential services significantly added to their quality of life, enabling them to age in place with dignity,” the banner read. Furthermore, CCH was touted as one of the first in the senior housing arena to identify the need for social services and to provide a viable solution by having on-site service coordinators.

Providing this personal approach to service has become a valuable and integral part of CCH’s daily experience. “We appreciate all our social service coordinators who make it possible for our residents to enjoy More Than a Home with CCH,” Adam shares.
